T7 54/58 I am just trying to figure out what course to play the day before the Irish. Granted I haven't played the Straits yet so take it as you will. The Bull is a nice track for sure. Enjoy where ever you play, but the extra $$ is worth playing the Straits. If you wanna throw another round in while you're up there check out The Bull. Washington County - A good Arthur Hills design that is a lot of fun to play, and very affordable for the quality. Scotty Cameron X7M, Already have my tee time for Irish. Place is amazing if for nothing else but how natural the course actually is, is primed to be one of the premier courses of the midwest and possibly nation, and should be in great conditions given the fall/spring we've had. Twilight on the Straits is $260 plus a $60 caddie fee. Milwaukee golf show price of $135. Don't want to argue about this, but I've played the bump and run almost exclusively on my 3 trips playing Straits. I've played River, it's amazing. Snell MTB Black Irish would be my 3rd pick. We played the Straits and the River on back to back days and I'd have gone back to the river on the third day. I'd agree.. the Bog, while still a nice track, can be a bit gimmicky. The Bog is very overdone and gimmicky - there are some good holes, but also some very poorly designed holes IMO. The question I have is it worth the additional $176 to play Whistling Straights or not? For the money Irish is fantastic. Now you need to add in Tax and you are back up to $400 dollars. Well, I'm guessing you're there now. Since we are driving from Columbus, we are stopping at Erin hills on the way up. The green fee is currently $300 but they require a caddie, which is $57..........$30 for caddie gratuity..........$15 for Forecaddie gratuity.........totals to $402. Hosted two US Opens, food is amazing, and a great pro shop. Irish would be 3rd and Meadows would be 4th in my rotation. It really has helped make my decision a lot easier. They have raised their price since i played it as well. I was going to mention this as another course to consider. I just played the River course yesterday. Wedges: undecided. GOLF. If you're just going out as a single, there is no discounted rate. The River course is a great course too best greens of the 4 and good design. It would seem that if a person has hit a golf ball correctly a thousand times, he should be able to duplicate the performance at will. A mix of some very memorable holes, and some not so great holes.
